A Jackson County jury late Thursday found James P. Dodd Jr., guilty of multiple child-sex felonies in connection with 2009 and 2010 crimes investigated by Kansas City police regarding a 13-year-old girl, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
The jury convicted Dodd, dob: 12/28/1982, of two counts of Child Molestation 1st Degree, Attempted Statutory Sodomy 1st Degree Victim Under 12. Statutory Sodomy 1st Degree Victim Under 12, two counts of Statutory Sodomy 2nd Degree and Statutory Rape 2nd Degree.*
The jury made sentencing recommendations. If followed, sentences could stretch up to 88 years in prison. Sentencing will be set at a future hearing by a Jackson County judge.
