Christopher V. Perkins pleaded guilty Monday in March 2015 fatal shooting of Kelvin B. Paige and faces up to 20 years in prison, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Perkins, dob: 2/22/1966, will be sentenced on July 14 at 1:30 p.m.
As part of a plea agreement, the state dismissed an Unlawful Use of a Weapon charge and Perkins agreed to plead guilty to voluntary manslaughter and Armed Criminal Action. The state will seek up to 20 years in prison at sentencing.
