Two Kansas City siblings and a woman each face four felony charges, including Murder 2nd Degree, in connection with the fatal shooting last Friday evening outside a market near 43rd and Cleveland Avenue in Kansas City, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Bonzel Fowler, dob: 9/10/1993; Byron Fowler, dob: 1/21/1991; and Tateona Jackson-Williams, dob: 8/4/1994, each face Murder 2nd Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon and two counts of Armed Criminal Action charges.*
According to court records, on Nov. 26, 2021, Kansas City police were dispatched to the Blue Valley Market at 43rd and Cleveland on a reported shooting. They found the victim, Edmon E. Alexander, suffering from gunshot wounds. He would die later at the hospital. Police determined the shooting was captured on surveillance video that showed shots fired from the passenger side and from the backseat of one vehicle into a second vehicle. One defendant confirmed for police that the he and the co-defendants were at the market and had an altercation with the victim. He said they fired shots only after the victim shot at them.
Prosecutors requested $150,000 bonds on the Fowlers and $50,000 for Jackson-Williams.
