Two KC men charged in Raytown burglary that ended in gunfire on July 3, 2016, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Arnett W. McNeal Jr., dob: 6/6/1971, faces Assault of a Law Enforcement Officer in the 1st Degree, and Burglary in the 2nd Degree, while Saintino J. Garner, dob: 3/18/1996, faces Burglary in the 2nd Degree.*
According to court records, the defendants told Raytown Police Department detectives that they entered the home and grabbed a change jar, a handgun and other items. When police entered the residence, Arnett said he panicked. Police video showed McNeal grabbed a gun and pointed it, then the officer fired at McNeal.
The incident remains under investigation.
