A Kansas City man has been charged in the fatal vehicular crash that killed Krealonna M. Willis on April 17, 2017, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Trenton L. Stanley, dob: 6/6/1989, faces Involuntary Manslaughter 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action.*
According to court records, Stanley was driving on Chouteau Trafficway at a high rate of speed, after he became upset about how the victim was driving. The defendant tried to pass the victim and as he did, he hit her vehicle, causing it to lose control and flipping numerous times. Police accident investigators estimated that the defendant was traveling at 70 mph before he struck her vehicle and caused her to lose control. She died as a result of injuries from the crash.
Prosecutors requested a $100,000 bond.
