A Kansas City man, 29, has been charged in the murder of Marlon Hill, who was fatally shot on Dec. 6, 2015, in the 2200 block of East 85th Street in Kansas City, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Brandon M. Johnson, 8/17/1987, faces Murder 2nd Degree and Armed Criminal Action charges.*
According to court records, the victim was found on the ground, suffering from gunshot wounds. He died later at Research Hospital. He had earlier been inside his girlfriend's residence. The defendant came over to visit. Later, Hill and his girlfriend argued and witnesses stated Hill and the girlfriend stepped outside to argue. They added that the defendant came out with a gun and began to argue with the victim. He pointed the gun at Hill and shot him.
Prosecutors requested a bond of $300,000 cash.
