A Kansas man faces multiple felony charges in connection with a fatal shooting Monday morning in Kansas City, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Eric L. Morrow faces Murder 2nd Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and two counts of Armed Criminal Action charges.*
According to court records filed late Monday, Kansas City police responded on a fatal shooting in Kansas City. The suspect was still in the residence and officers set up a perimeter on the residence. A woman who exited told police the victim and the shooter were still inside. The defendant exited and was taken into custody. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Several residents identified the defendant and told police they attempted to stop him from attacking the witness. Some also attempted to restrain the defendant as police arrived.
