A Raytown, MO, man has been charged in connection with social media threats that he would "shoot up" school, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Lucas Ledford, dob: 5/24/1994, faces the misdemeanor count of Terrorist Threat 3rd Degree.*
According to court records, residents reported to Raytown police that the defendant stated in a social media group discussion on Facebook that he would shoot the school as well as group members. Lucas told Raytown police, who tracked Ledford to his residence, that he didn't intend to hurt anyone.
Prosecutors requested a bond of $5000.
