A second defendant has been charged in the fatal home robbery near 80th and Campbell on April 5, 2020, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
George Steen, dob: 12/16/998, faces Murder 2nd Degree, Burglary 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action charges.*
According to court records filed today, Kansas City police responded in the early morning of April 5, 2020, to an apartment complex in the area of 80th and Campbell. Inside a second-floor apartment, police found the victim, Monrico Roseberry, deceased in a seated position, on the living room sofa. The defendant conspired with others to rob a family member of $60,000. But the attempted burglary went bad and the victim, , was shot by the defendant’s co-conspirators.
Prosecutors requested a bond of $300,000 cash only.
