A Lee's Summit teacher now faces state felony sex charges involving a high school student, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Zhiyang Ji, dob: 7/12/1991, faces two counts of Statutory Sodomy 2nd Degree.*
According to court records filed today, Lee's Summit school officials reported to Lee's Summit Police that a teacher was in a sexual relationship with a high school student. Detectives were told by the victim that outside of school that victim and defendant had touched each other and the defendant performed oral sex on the victim. The defendant confirmed those sexual contacts. They also each sent nude pictures of themselves to each other. The defendant told detectives he knew it wrong to be in a relationship with the victim.
Prosecutors requested a bond of $75,000.
