Media Advisory: Partners in the Kansas City No Violence Alliance (KC NoVA), including law enforcement, prosecutors and community leaders, will be canvassing residences and businesses in the Blue Hills area of Kansas City on Saturday, July 28, 2018, beginning about 1:30 p.m.and ending about 4:30 p.m. The partners will spread information about KC NoVA's new efforts to reduce crime in that area, as well as detail services that might help them, including city 311 services.
Last Saturday, Blue Hills community members were briefed by police on the new effort in their neighborhood. This Saturday, KC NoVA governing board members, including Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker, ATF SAC George Lauder and regional administrator of Missouri Probation & Parole Brent Morris, and other community leaders will be among the persons contacting residents.
Be advised that Blue Hills Community Center, 5008 Prospect Avenue, will be the central base for the canvas. Media are welcome there at 1:30 p.m.
