Three men have been charged in the Oct. 30 break-in and fatal shooting of an Independence man, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Xavier Otero, dob: 10/9/1985, of Kansas City, Kan.; Nathan Hendricks, dob:9/20/2971, of Hermann, MO; and Onelio Garcia, 4/14/1985 of Kansas City, Kan., each face Murder 2nd Degree, Armed Criminal Action and Burglary 1st Degree charges.*
According to court records, Independence police found the victim, William Domann, deceased in his residence on E. 43rd Street South in Independence. He had been shot multiple times after being restrained. Independence police identified the three defendants. One defendant was shot during a struggle with the victim and his blood was found at the murder scene.
Otero is in custody. The other two defendants remain at large.
Prosecutors have requested a bond of $500,000 for each defendant.
