A Kansas City man, 20, faces felony charges in connection with an early morning robbery in Kansas City at a Truman Road gas station, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Sirjohn T. White, dob: 11/11/1996, faces two counts of Robbery 1st Degree and two counts of Armed Criminal Action.*
According to court records filed today, early today Kansas City police responded to a service station on Truman Road near Brooklyn and saw several men running from the business. They got into a vehicle and began to flee but White fell out of the back hatch. He then fled on foot. Police used victims' cell phones to locate White, hiding in a dumpster. He had a gun in his waistband and $268. Victims told police that the defendant and others came into the store with weapons and demanded their cell phones and cash. At one point, other men came in and one carried an AK-47. White told police he walked into the store and took money while armed.
Prosecutors requested a cash bond of $100,000.
