Media Advisory from Kansas City No Violence Alliance (KC NoVA)
On Saturday morning, Dec. 17, the violence -reduction collaboration known as KC NoVA will deliver Christmas toys, clothing and food to KC NoVA clients, persons identified as being close to violence in our community.
Media are invited for the event's beginning at 11 a.m., when NoVA clients will be able to obtain presents for Christmas. Michael Bergens of "Hands to Hearts" is providing toys for families. In addition, Harvesters Mobile Food Truck will be on site and Independence Boulevard Christian Church will provide winter clothing to those in need.
This will be held in the back parking lot of Independence Boulevard Christian Church, 606 Gladstone Blvd.
If you announce this event to the public, please say it begins at noon, Saturday, Dec. 17th. NoVA clients have been informed that they can obtain presents, food and clothing at 11 a.m. At noon, the event will be open to anyone in need.
