A Jackson County jury late today convicted Monique Ransom in Dec. 2013 fatal shooting of Eric Harrell, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
The jury convicted Ransom of Murder 2nd Degree and Armed Criminal Action. Ransom will be sentenced at a later date.
According to the probable cause, Ransom went to Harrell’s home with her brother and her boyfriend. While the boyfriend was outside the home, Ransom and her brother reportedly got into an argument with Harrell during an attempted robbery and they shot him multiple times, killing him.
Assistant Prosecuting Attorneys Theresa Crayon, Sarah Castle and Ben Cox prosecuted the case on behalf of the state of Missouri.
