A Raytown man has been charged in the fatal shooting of Clinton Peckman this week outside a Blue Springs restaurant, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
John D. Jeffries, 4/24/1993, faces Murder 2nd Degree, Robbery 1st Degree, and two counts of Armed Criminal Action.*
According to court records, police responded to a shooting outside a Blue Springs restaurant in the 1500 block of NW Woods Chapel Road. Witnesses gave a description of the shooter and officers in the area spotted a man in the area who matched the description. Jeffries was taken into custody
Prosecutors requested a bond of $250,000.
