A Jackson County judge on Thursday sentenced a 54-year-old Kansas City woman to six years in a Missouri prison after she was convicted of DWI -- Death of Another Person not a Passenger related to a December 2019 vehicular crash in Kansas City, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Tonya Rolf dob: 9/4/1967 pleaded in November to DWI -- Death of Another Persons not a Passenger. The plea agreement set a 12-year maximum sentence. On Thursday, a Jackson County judge set the sentence at six years.
According to court records, Kansas City police were dispatched to the area of 18th and Indiana on Dec. 28, 2019 on a vehicular crash. A passenger in a Ford pickup, Rob Heslop, was later declared deceased injuries sustained in the crash. A witness told police that a vehicle driven by the defendant crossed into the driving lane of the victim's vehicle and hit it head-on. Medical records of the defendant showed high levels of alcohol and Benzoylecgonine..
