A 21-year-old Kansas City man is the second defendant charged in a fatal shooting that took the lives of three victims in October 2021, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Joshua A. Bell, dob: 1/12/2001, faces three counts of Accessory Murder 2nd degree; four counts of Armed Criminal Action, Unlawful use of a weapon – subsection 9.
According to court records, the defendant and other individuals drove to the house where the victims were and opened fire,killing three. Defendant's phone remained in the area of the vehicle involved before and after the shooting. Defendant also admitted to helping to steal a type of ammunition that was later found at the shooting scene.
Prosecutors requested a bond of $500,000 cash only
A co-defendant in this case, Lucas Baker, was charged on Oct. 6, 2021.
