A Kansas City man has been charged in the fatal shooting on July 17 of Jami Duncan in her Kansas City residence, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Mantonia M. Duncan faces felony charges of Murder 2nd Degree, Armed Criminal Action and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.*
According to court records, Kansas City Police Department officers dispatched to a Kansas City residence as part of an emergency medical response and observed a woman inside the residence lying on the floor. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Witnesses told police who had shot the victim and where he was. He was taken into custody.
