A Jackson County judge on Friday sentenced a Kansas City man to life without parole after a Jackson County jury in May convicted him of Sodomy and Incest, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
In May, the jury convicted Ronald Davie, dob: 7/14/1956, of Sodomy and Incest. Davie has a previous sex offense conviction in 1993. On Friday, a judge sentenced Davie to life without parole for the conviction of Sodomy 1st and 2 years in prison for the second conviction of Incest. That sentence was set to run consecutive to life without parole.
According to court records, in April 2017 a witness told police that the defendant had sexually assaulted a family member who was mentally disabled. A forensic interview of the victim by the Child Protection Center revealed that the victim had been sodomized by the defendant.
Assistant Jackson County prosecutors Audrey McCormick and Jill Icenshower prosecuted the case on behalf of the state of Missouri.
