Miguel McIntosh, convicted earlier this year of molesting a 9-year-old girl, was sentenced today to prison for 20 years, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced.
McIntosh, dob: 4/8/1992, was sentenced to 20 years for his conviction of Statutory Sodomy in the 1st Degree and 15 years for Child Molestation in the 1st Degree. A judge found him guilty in January on those counts following a bench trial. On Friday, the judge ordered the sentences and set them to be served concurrently.
According to court records, a forensic interview at the Child Protection Center reported that the girl stated that McIntosh had sexually assaulted her in March 2013 when she was staying a relative’s home. He admitted to police to entering her room, telling her to undress and have sexual contact with her.
