Two teens have been charged in connection with a reported Raytown robbery this weekend after electronics sale setup via social media, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Brandon J. Adams, dob: 9/2/1999, of Independence, and Faith A. Moore, dob: 6/1/1999, each face Robbery 1st Degree.*
According to court records, Raytown police were dispatched to the 9300 block of E. Gregory in Raytown on a reported robbery on Sunday afternoon. The victim advised he was robbed while attempting to sell several electronics items, including a laptop and Xbox. After he arranged to meet the supposed buyers, Moore, according to the victim, approached and said she would take the items to an apartment and return with the money. When the victim went to the apartment a man appeared wearing a mask. A third man pulled a BB gun from his sweatshirt and pointed it at the victim. When the victim resisted they fought. The victim was struck by the suspects several times. The victim returned to his vehicle and called police. Three suspects were taken into custody.
One suspect is a juvenile.
Prosecutors have requested bonds of $50,000/10 percent.
