A Kansas City woman has been charged in the fatal stabbing of a man in Kansas City in September 2016, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
April Cunningham, aka April McCon, dob: 9/10/1985, faces charges of Murder 2nd Degree and Armed Criminal Action.*
According to court records filed today, Kansas City police responded to the 2500 Poplar Avenue in Kansas City. Crime scene analysis revealed prints of Cunningham inside a vehicle and the residence. A witness stated he had been with the victim at a club on Truman Road. The witness said he saw a woman in the victim's vehicle. The victim described her as a prostitute and he was taking her to his residence. Cunningham was arrested on Wednesday and told police she had had agreed to go to the victim's residence but they argued after he wouldn't pay her as quickly as she asked. They fought and she took a knife from the victim and stabbed him multiple times, then left the residence.
Prosecutors requested a bond of $250,000.
