A Kansas City man, 29, charged in long, dangerous car chase throughout metro on Tuesday, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.

Justin M. Sherman, dob: 9-20-1987, faces Robbery 2nd Degree, two counts of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle 1st Degree, Resisting Arrest and Driving While Revoked.*
According to court records filed today, Sherman was involved in a traffic accident near 31st. But he fled police and led them on a long pursuit, a dangerous car chase throughout metro on Tuesday. During that pursuit, he struck a police vehicle, drove at 100 mph through the community, ran stop lights and signs, crashed into an innocent motorist, crashed through an apartment complex gate, forced an innocent citizen out of his truck, stole the truck, drove the vehicle at 100 mph again, and was only taken into custody after stop sticks were deployed and multiple officers had to detain him.
Prosecutors requested a bond of $75,000 cash only.
