A licensed chiropractor, who has worked since the 1980s at Health Plus in Oak Grove, MO, faces multiple criminal charges in connection with sexual assaults of juveniles and adult women, mostly from the Amish community, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
David B. Clark faces Statutory Sodomy 1st Degree, three counts of Statutory Sodomy 2nd Degree, Sexual Abuse 1st Degree and one count of Sodomy 2nd Degree.
According to court records filed today, multiple victims traveled to Clark’s Clinic in Oak Grove for treatments over decades. Some victims attended many appointments over multiple years and suffered abuse. During their visits he included pelvic and breast examinations under the guise of legitimate medical procedure. Many victims were from the Amish community and lacked sex education and had little interaction with health providers.
This case was investigated by the FBI in Kansas City.
